Platform Post chooses FORscene for logging, review

Central London-based Platform Post has chosen to provide Forbidden Technologies’ FORscene as its logging, rough cut editing and review/approval platform.

Central London-based Platform Post has chosen to provide Forbidden Technologies’ FORscene as its logging, rough cut editing and review/approval platform.

More specifically, Platform has installed a FORscene Load Linux box, which compressed all the source video for each production and uploads it to the FORscene Cloud.

The news emerges as Forbidden reveals details of impressive broadcast post growth figures: revenue in the six months to 30 June 2011 rose by 94%, powered in large part by the post sector popularity of FORscene.

David Tasker, creative director at Platform, commented: “At Platform, we provide the very latest tools and technical infrastructure to our clients. I have been aware of FORscene for some time, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to bring it into Platform. I am happy to say that this time has arrived.”

Jason Cowan, account manager at Forbidden Technologies, added: “As an integrated part of the Platform post production workflow, FORscene will now be accessible to all Platform clients. This represents a continuation of Forbidden’s successful strategy of partnering with established post houses who provide FORscene as a service to their clients. We look forward to bringing the benefits of cloud-based FORscene workflows to a new range of exciting productions.”
