Twelve fire engines have tackled a blaze at Pinewood Studios, which is believed to have broken out on the facility’s Richard Attenborough stage.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the blaze at 3.13pm on Tuesday afternoon, stating its crews were dealing with a “fire in [an] industrial unit” on Pinewood Road in Iver Heath.

The firefighters are understood to have used ten sets of breathing apparatus, three hose reels and one main jet to tackle the fire.

Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
