North Star Media has announced the acquisition of Picture Shop.
All 40 creative, technical and production roles will be maintained under the deal, which sees the acquisition of Manchester-based operations from Streamland Media.
Operating as Home Post Production, the new business will be headed by MD Paul Austin, who has led the facility since 2017, continuing to provide full-service operations from its 22,000 square foot city centre site. David Jackson, chief executive of North Star Media will oversee the business, bringing more than a decade of experience in a career which has included ownership and management off Manchester’s 422.
The facility has grown to become the largest UK post production house outside London, offering a range of services including capture on location, offline and online edit, colour grading and finishing, visual effects and a full range of audio services including tracklay, sound design, mixing, VO, and ADR.
