Football fans feeling nervous at the thought of penalties deciding a match in the World Cup, especially those of an English persuasion, can confront their fears by trying to stick a couple past Dave Beasant during the World Cup charity penalty shoot-out at Broadcast Live.

The show is hosting a charity penalty shoot-out with ex-Wimbledon goalkeeper Beasant on Tuesday June 20th. Beasant is perhaps best remembered for being the first keeper to save penalty in an FA Cup Final, when captaining Wimbledon to their 1-0 win against Liverpool in 1988, so he’s hardly going to be a pushover. All monies received will be donated to the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF) and winner’s prizes include a signed football and Threshers vouchers.

To enter, visitors have to make a £5 donation to the CTBF and in return they will have three chances to score. If they successfully score all three goals they will receive a signed ball and be entered into a knockout shoot-out in the afternoon. The last person standing at the end without having a penalty saved will win the Threshers vouchers, but more importantly bragging rights throughout the industry for the whole year.

The competition is running at Earls Court 2 – Gate L and starts at 10am.
