A new software version for Pablo Rio has been released by Quantel. Pablo Rio’s new software features multi-GPU architecture and AJA Corvid Ultra integration and adds more capabilities to its integrated colour and finishing toolset.

Running the new software, a Pablo Rio equipped with three NVIDIA Tesla Kepler K20 GPUs will deliver over 20 layers of colour correction at 4K at full resolution in realtime, or around 50 at 2K. The AJA Corvid Ultra enables that power to deliver realtime 4K 60fps, working with and monitoring the full quality 4K 60fps images live in the suite.

“The performance of a fully configured Pablo Rio running the latest software really has to be seen to be believed – it is simply phenomenal,” said Quantel marketing director, Steve Owen. “We also took the opportunity to add a number of new features requested by our users to further improve the range of work that can benefit from Pablo Rio’s power and toolset. This is just another step in exploiting the almost limitless potential of this new post platform.”

Pablo Rio has undergone further developments, with support for Apple ProRes soft mount, improvements to the mocha planar tracker, realtime playback of soft mounted Sony F65 files and support for the NUGEN VisLM audio loudness monitoring plug-in.
