V-Nova’s PERSEUS technology has been integrated into NTT DATA’s broad portfolio of video encoding solutions. The currently deployed joint solution adds PERSEUS capabilities to NTT DATA’s Hyper and NRT products.

V-Nova’s PERSEUS is an advanced video compression technology that enables operators to differentiate their products, increase market penetration, and provide otherwise undeliverable services using existing infrastructure, hardware and workflows. PERSEUS is based on principles underlying human vision to deliver improvements in compression, picture quality, processing speed, latency and power consumption. PERSEUS shifts the entire video bitrate-quality curve to enable UHD quality video at HD bitrates, HD at SD bitrates, and SD video at sub-audio bitrates.
NTT DATA Hyper is advanced software for automated batch video transcoding for OTT VoD services up to UHD/4K. It enables the creation of ultra-optimised, tailor-made encoding pipelines, leveraging features such as adaptive encoding techniques, advanced grid computing architecture and intelligent Cloud Encoding.
