All3Medias’s Lime Pictures has launched L16, a new purpose-built studio within its Liverpool campus.
Named after the postcode area of its Childwall location, L16 aims to provide productions with a range of options for scripted and unscripted content.
Designed to create a one-stop solution for production teams, L1 will also provide post production capabilities and make existing sets available. Established resources include green rooms, galleries, editing suites, catering facilities, on-site parking and a hair and make-up suite.
Commenting on the launch, John Whittle, MD at Lime Pictures, said, “We are delighted to offer first class unrivalled production facilities right here in Liverpool. This investment strengthens the North West’s role as a true powerhouse in the UK’s creative and broadcast industries. From high end dramas to global streaming content, we are ready to support the next wave of storytelling.
“With decades of experience in premium drama, we have the sets, the in-house talent, and the infrastructure to deliver an exceptional production experience. L16 is a world-class space where producers can create standout content while generating real investment in the region and new opportunities for local talent to thrive.”
L16 will shortly welcome its first production, with filming of CBBC comedy-drama Girl Troop vs Aliens set to begin soon.
