n-tv is the leading news channel in Germany. Since its launch in 1992, the station has been on-air 365 days a year offering a 24-hour rolling service made up of news, politics, business and economic information. With this mix of breaking news from the world of politics and business, quality talk formats and a large variety of magazines, n-tv has become an acknowledged player in the German television market.

Destined inevitably to be referred to as vodcasts, directly after news and economy programmes have been broadcast on conventional television they are made accessible on the n-tv website for free. This process is driven entirely in the background by S4M’s Video Production Management System. Already involved in the whole TV production, from automatic video ingest through to playout server, using VPMS the appropriate programme can simply be chosen and converted into a podcast directly from the newsroom with a single mouseclick. Titles or logos can be added automatically as part of the process.
