Net Insight has received an order to expand Digita’s DTT network in Finland. Already based on the Nimbra platform in the north of the country, Digita plans to roll it out in the south as well.
The equipment will be used to adapt DTT signals to Digita’s existing transmission network and will be delivered during the first quarter of 2007.
Digita, the Finnish operator of the national network for digital terrestrial television is one of the worldwide pioneers within DTT and has vast know-how and experience of various DTT network solutions. The current Nimbra network has been operational since 2005 in northern Finland.
“We are very satisfied with the Nimbra based network we currently operate. It has proven to be cost-efficient, scalable and easy to manage and it truly delivers 100% quality of service. That’s why we now continue with Net Insight’s technology for the build out of our network,” said Kari Risberg, technical director of Digita.
