Claiming to be the first company to deliver logging systems, Mediaproxy now provides compliance recording for more than 5000 channels worldwide. The latest version of its software was unveiled at NAB, along with a compact 2U cabinet providing very cost-effective logging for up to 12 HD channels.
The key feature included in the new release, LogServer 7.8, is the ability to not just record ASI transport streams but to replay them. This allows engineers to check not just the health of individual channels but the consumer experience. The complete transport stream is captured and recorded, including all metadata and MHEG-5 interactive services where these are included.
Also new from Mediaproxy was an iPad network monitoring appliance, giving engineers and managers access to the log from any location. Tools on the iPad can be used for competitive analysis as well as checking for legal and commercial compliance.
