Mayah’s Centauri II Audio Gateway Codecs will deliver the commentators’ voices to international broadcasters during this season’s UEFA Champions League games following a multiple purchase by the DeltaTre Group.
One of the major service providers for sport contents broadcasting, DeltaTre Group chose the devices from Mayah for their versatility and ability to cover any possible destinations with any possible remote equipment. Eight brand new Centauri II 3000 units will deliver the commentator’s voices during all the games of the Champions League to the international broadcast community, whose group phase begins on 18 September.
For broadest compatibility reasons, the MPEG Layer 2 coding algorithm will be primarily used. For the same reason there is an optional ISDN interface installed in every Centauri II unit delivered to Italian headquarters of the company.
Centauri II combines plug-and-play simplicity with a power-user performance and features. These include mono, stereo or multichannel audio for Point-to-Point/Point-to-Multipoint or Uni/Multicast transmissions over IP, ISDN and X.21 / V.35 broadcast interfaces, as well as support of a wide range of network protocols and coding algorithms.
