A highlight of the forthcoming Broadcast LIVE event at Earls Court in June is the Create Day keynote speech, which will be given by Angus Macqueen, new Head of Documentaries at Channel 4, writes Fergal Ringrose.
Macqueen, whose credits include The Death of Yugoslavia and The People’s Century for the BBC and Dancing for Dollars and Cocaine for C4, was appointed to the role in March. As an acclaimed documentary producer in his own right and now one of the most influential commissioners in the field, his talk on The Future Of Factual Programming should be essential listening.
The Broadcast LIVE conference strands are divided into three distinct days to reflect the Create, Manage and Deliver zones of the exhibition itself. The Create Day, sponsored by Avid, IBM, National Grid Wireless and Sony, features a full programme of sessions including Programme making for the Download Generation; HD here and now; and Who wants What in Factual?
Full day passes are available for £160, with individual sessions priced at £50. Full. Broadcast LIVE takes place from 20th-22nd June 2006 at Earls Court 2 London.
