LucidLink launches Frame.io integration for instant cloud editing

The company has also expanded its mobile capabilities, aiming to streamline collaboration and accelerate times from from idea to delivery

LucidLink has unveiled details of a collaboration with Frame.io.

The LucidLink platform has been integrated with Frame.io aiming to enable instant cloud editing without the need for uploading or downloading. Footage captured in the field is directly streamed into editing timelines streamlining collaboration and accelerating delivery times for creative teams.

Richard Yu, chief product officer at LucidLink, explained, “Frame.io revolutionised capture with Camera-to-Cloud. With LucidLink, it becomes Camera-to-Timeline—media lands in your LucidLink workspace and is instantly ready to edit in Premiere Pro or After Effects. Paired with our enhanced mobile apps, teams can capture anywhere and start cutting immediately—no downloads, relinking, or changes to how they work on the desktop.”

Media uploaded via Frame.io’s Camera-to-Cloud appears instantly in LucidLink, allowing editors to cut directly in Premiere Pro or After Effects. Governance and approvals are kept in Frame.io. The need for downloads or shipping of drives is eliminated, saving time and boosting efficiencies.

The company has also announced an expansion of its iOS Mobile app, which now features multi-file uploads and background transfers on iOS 26. Background multi-file uploads send content into a filespace, with no relinking, intermediate copies or downloading and uploading steps. The capabilities complement LucidLink’s existing Android device support, which includes in-app previews, permission-aware sharing, core file operations and multi-file upload with background upload on iOS 26.

The LucidLink and Frame.io integration will be included with LucidLink Business and Enterprise plans. Availability is expected early next year.
