Liverpool friendly to be broadcast in virtual reality

NextVR employing eight VR cameras along the pitch

Liverpool Football Club has partnered with NextVR to make the team’s match against Portugal’s Sporting CP available in virtual reality.

The game, which takes place on Wednesday, July 24 at 8:00 pm EST, will be exclusively available in the US to NextVR users with Oculus GearVR or Go headsets, as well as all Oculus Venues customers.

NextVR is employing eight VR cameras along the pitch and throughout match venue Yankee stadium. The fully produced live VR broadcast will include dedicated announcers for pre-game, play-by-play, halftime analysis, and match recap.
