Periscope is launching live broadcast support for DJI drones.

The upgrade will allow users to connect an iPhone to a compatible drone’s remote control, which will automatically pull in the drone’s video feed.

Users can then switch between the drone feed, the iPhone camera and, if desired, a GoPro, to allow for the creation of “amazing broadcasts, whether visiting a new place, performing a song, or sparking a passionate discussion,” stated Periscope in a blog post.

The application is also set to launch new functionality that will allow its users to save broadcasts beyond the current 24-hour restriction.

“Our goal is to give you full control of your broadcasts,” Periscope said.

“Soon, your broadcasts will be automatically saved on Periscope and Twitter with comments and hearts. Should you change your mind, you can still delete your broadcasts at any time in the post-broadcast screen or in your profile.”

Periscope is also looking to add a broadcast search functionality, which will allow its users to search for specific broadcasts by title or topic.
