The first HD truck in Hungary, owned by live sporting and entertainment events specialist Liga TV, has been equipped with Miranda routing and signal processing systems.
The new truck will handle live coverage of Hungary’s football league, NB1, as well as national ice hockey, volleyball, handball and various concerts.
“With all the live coverage we do, we needed an ultra-robust signal management system in our truck that we can rely on completely,” said Lajos Monus, head of video engineering at Liga TV.
“Miranda’s NVISION router provides outstanding resilience with its low failure block and fully hot-swappable modules. It’s small, lightweight design and high density cabling are also especially well suited to trucks.”
The signal management system is based on an NVISION 8288 HD/SD router with 156 inputs and 240 outputs. The router is controlled by a fully redundant NVISION 9000 controller system, which is linked to a range of highly adapted control panels.
The truck’s signal processing includes 28 Densité modules, housed in three frames. This system includes DAs, decoders, downstream keyers, and multiple downconverters, since the large majority of Hungarian television is broadcast in SD.
The truck’s equipment was supplied through Miranda’s distributor for Hungary, Rexfilms.
