Khabar chooses DSNG vehicles from TVC

Systems integrator TVC has delivered 12 of 18 digital satellite news gathering (DSNG) vehicles to news production company Khabar in Kazakhstan. The remaining 6 units will be manufactured in spring 2014.

Systems integrator TVC has delivered 12 of 18 digital satellite news gathering (DSNG) vehicles to news production company Khabar in Kazakhstan. The remaining 6 units will be manufactured in spring 2014.

The DSNGs are based on GAZ 27057 (4×4) powered by Honda EU30IK1 2600 VA/230VAC/13.0 A 50HZ,12 V Power Generators with UPS system. The DSNG units feature Vislink NewSwift CF 1.5m Ku antennas and redundant encoding/ decoding system. They also have Sony XDCAM camcorders and decs, Clear Com Intercom, Avcom measurement equipment, a For-A HVS-XT100 vision mixer, Yamaha MG 166C audio mixer and TVlogic monitoring solution.

Enhanced thermal insulation ensures that DSNGs are able to endure the extreme hot and cold temperatures that are typical in Kazakhstan. The temperature in this region varies from -30°C in winter and +35°C in the summer. The vehicles have been engineered, built and delivered within a five month time frame and are currently being used to provide latest news in Kazakhstan.
