ITFC’s Lesley Marr heads panel discussion at IT Broadcast Workflow

Lesley Marr, senior operations director at ITFC, will keynote at this year’s IT Broadcast Workflow conference. In its fourth year, the event takes place on Wednesday 13 June at London’s BAFTA venue.

Lesley Marr, senior operations director at ITFC, will keynote at this year’s IT Broadcast Workflow conference. In its fourth year, the event takes place on Wednesday 13 June at London’s prestigious BAFTA venue. Marr will head up a panel session on the day, details of which will be announced shortly. As a broadcast media specialist and expert in broadcast operations, post production and production, she has worked in the broadcast media industry for 20 years and founded fast tortoise, a broadcast media consultancy. At ITFC, which provides content preparation and media access services to major broadcasters and content owners and distributors, Marr is responsible for the entire operation, strategically driving change to continually shape and develop the business around digital and file-based workflows. Prior to this she was at BSkyB as a programme director, leading Sky’s high profile delivery and change programme -Tapeless. Marr began her career as an effects editor and facility manager in Soho specialising in commercial and broadcast graphics work. In 1999 she became group commercial and strategic director for Storyboards, a pan-European design, illustration and commercials agency. In 2002, Marr moved into a broadcast projects role launching the file-based, multi-language Disney Scandinavian channel and a further 12 channels. Until 2005 she was head of operations at TNS when she joined the Technicolor global division in a new business strategy role.
