The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) is hosting its annual International Business Conference on 5-6 December. Titled ‘Navigating Through the Changing Media Landscape’, the event will feature a series of presentations and panel discussions examining convergence across the broadcast sector.
The event brings together experts and high-profile speakers from industry-leading organisations including Harris Broadcast, Ericsson and Signiant, and will address how providers can respond to evolving customer needs in order to drive growth.
Key topics that will be covered include the future of broadcasting, technology enablers for TV Everywhere services, including the transition to cloud, and the role start-ups have to play in a rapidly developing market. Networking opportunities for attendees are also available on day one of the conference through a drinks reception and conference dinner.
Peter White, director general, IABM, is presenting the first keynote which addresses the IABM’s latest market intelligence: “There are a number of trends that are currently impacting upon the ways in which we do business,” said White. “The opening keynote, and indeed the overarching theme of the conference, is therefore focused on these changes, to address both the challenges presented and also the inherent opportunities.”
