Broadcast Solutions Group's Nordic team will also establish a new facility in Helsinki based on Grass Valley’s cloud-based Agile Media Processing Platform (AMPP)

Grass Valley has struck a $31 million deal with systems integrator Broadcast Solutions Group, which includes the development of IP-based trucks.

The trucks, which are part of Broadcast Solutions’ Streamline series, are set to be rolled out next year and support 12-24 cameras set ups.

Broadcast Solutions Group’s Nordic team will also establish a new facility in Helsinki based on Grass Valley’s cloud-based Agile Media Processing Platform (AMPP).

Broadcast Solutions has committed to investing $31 million over a five-year period as it aims to deliver on its strategic vision to develop mission-critical premium live content solutions for global media companies.

Stefan Breder, CEO Broadcast Solutions Group, said, “Our worldwide customer base will benefit greatly, both technically and economically, from the new Grass Valley IP Streamline OB vans. Utilising the expertise and knowledge in live content production, IP-based technologies and modern workflows from both companies, customers can be sure that they can rely on an OB van that fulfils and exceeds their requirements and needs.”

The two companies have previously worked together across a range of projects, including kitting out Studio Berlin’s U9 and U10 truck, which capture content for The Voice of Germany; first and second League Bundesliga matches for SportCast; and several political talk shows.
