Goldcrest Post opens VFX division

New initiative to be headed by Dolores McGinley

London-based post house Goldcrest Post has announced a new VFX division based in their Lexington Street offices.

The new initiative will be headed by Dolores McGinley, whose VFX team will develop solutions to address the creative needs of Goldcrest projects and provide additional service to clients across the production process.

McGinley joins Goldcrest with over two decades of industry experience, having worked on The Crown, Giri/Haji and Good Omens.

“I am passionate about the craft of VFX and to have the opportunity to shape and create a new group within such a prestigious company as Goldcrest is beyond exciting,” McGinley said. “The calibre of the team is inspirational as are the projects they attract. I can’t wait to get started.”

“Having been immersed in such a diverse range of projects over the past five years we identified the need to expand into VFX some time ago,” added Goldcrest MD Patrick Malone. “We know how essential an integrated VFX service is to our continued success as a leading supplier of creative post solutions to the film and broadcast community.

“As a successful VFX artist in her own right Dolores is uniquely positioned to interpret the client’s brief and offer constructive creative input throughout the production process. She will also draw upon her considerable experience working with colourists to streamline the inclusion of VFX into the grade and guarantee we are able to meet the specific creative requirements of our clients. We will benefit enormously from Dolores’ energy, quick thinking and inspirational leadership style and could not be happier to have her join our team.”
