Plazamedia will open the doors to a brand extended reality studio as its base at the AGROB Medienpark in Ismaning near Munich next month.
The new studio, named briX|woRk.studio, features a 120-square-metre L-shaped LED wall as its centerpiece, which the company says can be used by film and production companies, as well as broadcasters.
The wall can be expanded into a 360° space via augmented reality, said the company. The set features a 24-metre wide and 5-metre high L-shaped LED wall, with a pixel pitch of 1.9 millimetres.
Plazamedia is deploying technology from Mo-Sys for the studio, including the company’s Startracker, Cinematic XR Focus and bMR.
Plazamedia’s chairman Jens Friedrichs, described the opening of the studio as a “new milestone in studio production”.
“With a one-of-a-kind combination of XR, AR and VR, our innovative and pioneering studio offers multifaceted and, above all, sustainable production opportunities for companies from a wide range of industries at the media centre Munich,” he added.
