Genesis Networks, a company that specialises in video transmission services over fibre and satellite using IP technology, has entered into a distribution agreement with Jerusalem Capital Studios (JCS), Israel’s leading provider of production facilities and services, based from its International Communication & Production Centres in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

“JCS prides itself on a very high level of service to our clients. We have a long-term contractual relationship with all of the major news organisations in the world. Every day JCS transmits news items from its studios and from on-site locations, whether live or prerecorded, to its clients all over the world which, during breaking news, amounts to hundreds of minutes per day. We are, therefore, committed to providing them with the highest possible standard of service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,” said Hanani Rapaport, VP JCS Group and manager of JCS NPF (News Production Facilities and Transmission Division).

“JCS operates at a leading-edge position in one of the fastest-developing news markets in the world,” said Paul Dujardin, president and CEO of Genesis Networks. “Genesis Networks is pleased to provide its clients, through JCS’s facilities in Israel, with quality transmission services using the unique ability of the IRIS software to make instant bandwidth bookings from within JCS’s control room or from anywhere with a web connection.”

Genesis Networks’ IRIS is a proprietary customer control software system that enables clients have immediate and direct control over the bandwidth, routing, and scheduling of their video transmission services over the Genesis fibre network. Using this web-based user-friendly software platform, customers can easily book, reserve, and monitor their own network and occasional video services in real time, accessing all major gateways from one centre, and benefiting from interconnections on a local, national, and international scale.
