ITN Productions was looking to create an intuitive, easy-to-use and future proof automated workflow for use on its FYI Daily entertainment news bulletins. VidiGo Live Assist was added to ITN Productions’ VidiGo Live integration to create a fully IT-based workflow.

Jonathan Pascoe, senior producer ITN Productions explained: “Vidigo Live Assist offers us a user-friendly solution for a lot of our day-to-day studio output at ITN Productions. For FYI Daily, which airs on ITV2/3/4, the integration with iNews means our presenter/producers can put their bulletins together swiftly and we are able to train up producers and journalists on the easy-to-use interface in order to drive the show. The increased adaptability means our creativity is not limited and we are already thinking up lots of ideas for how VidiGo Live Assist can help us create exciting new programming.”

This intuitive solution is a 100 per cent software-based workflow, running on standard IT hardware. Live Assist is an automated overview of the rundowns. It offers automated control for various aspects of production including video, audio, GFX, control of PTZ cameras, recorders or other third-party devices, which can easily be achieved by adding desired modules. The solution is well suited to scripted shows and allows last minute changes to the rundowns.

”VidiGo is truly excited with this installation. This once again confirms the vision of VidiGo: making live production more efficient by using software, automation and IT based hardware. Big multi device control rooms are no longer necessary to create great content,” said Reinout Lempers, CCO VidiGo
