eyevis expands portfolio of IP decoder boards

eyevis has added the new NPX4800-IPD32HQ to its range of IP decoder boards, in order to meet the upscale requirements on the transmission of AV signals in control and conference rooms, showrooms and broadcasting.

eyevis has added the new NPX4800-IPD32HQ to its range of IP decoder boards, in order to meet the upscale requirements on the transmission of AV signals in control and conference rooms, showrooms and broadcasting. The new decoder board complements the existent NPX4800-IPD32 and is able to decode up to two 4K signals or 16 HD signals simultaneously.

Both the IPD32HQ and IPD32 support flexible individual Codecs as well as customised systems. As a member of ONVIF, eyevis has integrated the ONVIF profile s-standard, so both eyevis decoders support more than 2500 camera models of various manufacturers. Currently the decoder boards are certified for the standard. eyevis will present the IPD32HQ at ISE in Amsterdam in February.

The IPD32HQ can be integrated in all netPIX 4800 systems, thanks to the open architecture of the netPIX 4800 family. Compared with software decoding, through the use of external hardware architecture it is possible to depict up to 512 D1 streams, up to 256 HD streams or up to 32 4K streams with a netPIX 4800 system. Combined with the eyeCON V5.1 software and its MetaWall features, a nearly unlimited number of decoded streams can be achieved, the company claimed.

It is also possible to combine the decoder on the netPIX 4800 with different input signals including analogue video input cards or RGB/DVI cards. The eyevis IP decoder boards are almost universally usable, said the company. The board offers a controller with a large number of different input signals without needing an additional system.
