EVS to launch Nano Air, MultiReview, C-Cast powered by Aspera

EVS will debut Nano Air (pictured), a new playout software controller; MultiReview, its new advanced multi-review solution; and a solution combining Aspera’s fasp software and EVS’ C-Cast solution at NAB 2013. Nano Air enables simultaneous playback of up to four HD or SD channels from the XSnano server to several destinations. It can also play out the programme’s elements to switchers for on-air playout. Nano Air is optimised for instant playout of imported audio/visual files, clipping, playlist playout control, and transcoding at import. It offers frame-accurate synchronised gang channel playout, with loop playout capability, and efficient playlist management control. Nano Air also provides functions for browsing, clipping, naming, sorting, cueing and playing content. It is available in all standard codecs, storing content in the native codec. Consisting of both hardware and software, MultiReview provides a centralised access point for monitoring all cameras of the live production in one GUI. Taking lo-res feeds created by XT3 servers, users benefit by being able to easily coordinate replay sequences, manage highlights autonomously and load content on a playout channel of a server. EVS C-Cast powered by Aspera leverages Aspera’s fasp software for high-speed transfer of digital content and EVS’ C-Cast second-screen solution. Embedding Aspera fasp ensures maximum transfer speed of the media files from end to end within the C-Cast system regardless of where the infrastructure is deployed, and on to any affiliates that have subscribed to the multicam feed. The integration also allows high-speed fasp transfers from C-Cast Agents directly to offsite storage, which can be in the cloud or deployed at an alternate data centre for disaster recovery purposes. SL9716
