UK entertainment and factual programming post facility Editworks – whose many credits include Harry Hill’s TV Burp and The Graham Norton Show – has boosted its audio capabilities with the purchase of an Avid Pro Tools|HD Native system.
A long-standing Avid customer, Editworks has 13 Avid editing suites in its Charlotte Street London facility and nine Avid systems at its Glasgow base, all hooked up through a central Avid ISIS storage solution.
Now, the company has added a Pro Tools|HD Native suite to help cater to increased demand for quality audio production for its entertainment and factual TV clients.

Not only is it easy to install and straightforward to use but it also opens up a whole range of creative possibilities through the new Artist Series controllers.”
The first project Editworks used the new suite on was a forthcoming Five series about five prospective nuclear submarine commanders entitled Perisher: Do or Die.
“This is a high-octane series with intense audio special effects and fast-paced dialogue. It needed the full audio treatment – from sound effects to plug-ins to voice-over and clean-up. Pro Tools handled it all brilliantly,” said Smith.
