EditShare drives workflow automation for Films at 59

The integration aims to significantly reduce setup time, minimise errors and provide a consistent, structured media environment for each new project

Aiming to streamline its production start-up process, Bristol-based post house Films at 69 has used the EditShare Open API platform to integrate its scheduling system into EditShare’s media environment.

Supported by Digital Garage, the technical team at Films at 59 developed a direct path linking resource planning and project management tool Farmers Wife with Editshare’s EFS and FLOW solutions. Manual setup has been eliminated and production start-up accelerated by the automated, meta-driven workflow, said the company.

The deployment allows scheduling of jobs in Farmers Wife to automatically:

  • Create a dedicated media space in EFS
  • Provision and assign team members based on their roles
  • Apply storage quotas to match the project’s scope
  • Link project metadata in FLOW, ensuring assets are organised and accessible from day one

Jamie Lawrence, head of technical operations at Films at 59, commented, “We had it up and running really quickly. Now, every time a job is booked in Farmers Wife, the media space is built, the team is connected, and everything is ready to go.”

Sean Bradley, regional sales director, Northern Europe at EditShare, added, “EditShare’s Open API framework made this integration straightforward and highly effective. The Films at 59 team took the initiative to connect their scheduling and media systems, and now they move from scheduling to editing without touching a single admin panel. It’s a powerful example of how our open architecture empowers customers to design workflows that fit their needs.”
