Film Dynamics has introduced Eaglecam, a brand new cablecam system from the Netherlands, which was used by Eredivise Live and executive producer Endemol Sport for the live broadcast of the recent Premier League soccer match between Ajax and AZ in the Amsterdam Arena.

Developed together with Toprek Rigging, the Eaglecam is a 3D cablecam system that offers unique possibilities for registration of events, TV and film.

The Eaglecam consists of a gyro-stabilised camera to four Kevlar cables coming from computer-controlled winches. The camera flies in three-dimensional movements and speeds up to 36 km/hr above the field. Eaglecam enables new and varied camera angles, including a bird’s-eye perspective.

Pieter Bruin, managing director of Film Dynamics, said: “The Eaglecam includes our expertise, the latest techniques and best materials. Thus we provide the highest image quality, combined with Toprek’s Flying-by-Wire system that meets the strictest safety standards.”
