The UK’s Digital Production Partnership – the trailblazing initiative formed by the UK’s public service broadcasters to help producers and broadcasters maximise the potential of digital production – will host and present the keynote panel discussion at TVBEurope’s IT Broadcast Workflow conference on 9 July.

The Early Bird delegate rate for the event is just £49 for the full day including lunch and refreshments – this offer will end on 31 May.

A panel of industry players will discuss the work of the DPP, highlighting a number of successes and industry changing initiatives.
On the panel: Kevin Burrows, DPP Technical Standards lead and CTO Broadcast & Distribution, Channel 4; Andy Tennant, DPP board member and technology director, Studios, ITV; Mark Bos, production executive Boundless Productions/Freemantlemedia UK; and Neil Hatton, post production consultant. The conversation will be chaired by George Bevir, Facilities and Technology editor, Broadcast.

Platinum sponsor Cinegy will follow the DPP panel, examining the virtualisation of a workflow with Deluxe Media Cloud — and then onto a case study on the RTÉ FAST (File Acquisition and Server Technology) project, presented by RTÉ’s Myles Donoghue with TMD chairman Tony Taylor.

‘The future of Sports Broadcast: towards collaborative production and media delivery’ will be presented by Nicolas Deal of UEFA, backed by EVS.

Eric Minoli, CTO/CIO of TFO – the French language cultural and educational TV network of Ontario, Canada, will address ‘Creating a holistic media organisation for content creation and distribution in a multiplatform world’, in collaboration with ProConsultant Informatique (PCI).

Rune Hagberg, solutions architect at NRK, will explain how Nordic broadcasters – DR Denmark, NRK Norway, SVT Sweden, YLE Finland and RUV Iceland — are exchanging finished programmes (‘NORDIF3: New technology for exchange of news and long format programmes among NORDVISION broadcasters’), in a session sponsored by Tedial. Also joining the programme this year is Charles Lesoil of Canal Plus, in a leading multiscreen multimedia case study sponsord by Telestream.

MediaGeniX and Spectra Logic are also confirmed sponsors and will shortly inform us of their European case study presentations for the event. Emotion Systems and Pebble Beach Systems are Silver Sponsors, and the IABM, IBC and SMPTE are supporting the conference.
