DPA Microphones is introducing its new d:facto II Vocal Microphone to the broadcast industry at this year’s BVE. Ideally suited to live music broadcasting, it offers high separation and extreme SPL handling, giving singers and engineers the added benefit of a state-of-the-art adapter system that enables integration with a number of professional wireless systems. Users can choose either a wired DPA handle or a professional wireless system with no loss of sound quality. The d:facto II’s simple plug-and-play features allow it to reproduce an extraordinary natural sound which reaches a sound level of 160dB. The inbuilt three-stage pop protection grid removes unwanted noise and exceptional isolation from handling noise and accommodation of extreme sound levels. Sound Network will also be demonstrating DPA’s expanded d:fine series of headset microphones, which offer impressive gain before feedback and very stable construction. Easy to fit, presenters and guests end up with a discrete microphone solution that is nearly invisible on the face. d:fine delivers natural voice intelligibility and consistent audio performance at all SPLs. d:fine is available in both directional and omnidirectional options and in single or dual-ear designs with multiple boom lengths.
