DHD router helps BBC ace Wimbledon coverage

DHD's 52XR MADI Router in place at Wimbledon

The BBC has employed DHD’s 52XR MADI Router to enable it to send up to 32 feeds from Wimbledon to their Salford studios for remote production.

The Router, which is delivered and supported by DHD’s UK partner Thum + Mahr, helps connect every court, interview area and FX and TX feed.

”We provide the DHD 52XR MADI Router solution for BBC OB Wimbledon because it is very flexible to set up, intuitive to use and very efficient,” said Stefan Mertens, chief strategy officer at Thum + Mahr.

DHD’s touchscreens are used for routing and monitoring of all feeds on each court as well as within the international broadcast centre on-site. According to the company, users can easily select the right broadcast network line package for each venue using the product’s touch control.
