Dalet is the latest Gold Sponsor to join TVBEurope’s Fast Turnaround TV conference taking place on 13 March at the Soho Hotel in London, with an end-user case study featuring Mediaset production workflows in Italy. In 2011 Mediaset, the largest commercial broadcaster in Italy, selected Dalet Enterprise Edition to centralise and streamline all of the company’s TV news operations including a 24/7 news channel which launched late last year. Mediaset journalists throughout Italy and in-the-field now use the end-to-end newsroom functionality of Dalet Enterprise Edition to browse wires, prepare text, edit video, and create voiceovers and packages – all from the Dalet desktop. The rollout of the Dalet MAM platform began with the installation of Dalet’s story-centric newsroom, video production and playout tools in Milan for the Studio Aperto channel and for Mediaset’s newly created central news agency, the hub for news gathering, video production and feeds to the regional channels and web operations. Deployment is then extended to include all 10 of Mediaset’s regional stations as well as the all-news channel. Dalet’s integrated and open environment enables end-to-end management of the entire News and Sport and Programme content chain, and allows users to significantly improve efficiency, and to maximise the use and value of their assets.

Dalet systems are used around the world by many thousands of individual users at hundreds of TV and radio content producers, including public broadcasters (ABS-CBN, BBC, CBC, DR, France TV, RTBF, RFI, Russia Today, RSR & TSR, RT Malaysia, VOA, WDR), commercial networks and operators (Antena 3, Canal +, FOX, eTV, Orange, Time Warner Cable, Warner Bros., Sirius XM Radio) and government organisations (Queensland JAG, Canadian House of Commons, The European Commission). TVBEurope’s new Fast Turnaround TV 2012 conference looks at high pressure, collaborative workflows in live and as-live fast turnaround television broadcast productions. The one-day conference will study the technical deployments involved, whether for HD and/or 3D delivery, and how to combine teams, so that main show production, news teams and digital media can share assets. www.fastturnaroundtv.com
