CyLTV goes wireless for news, Grabyo and InPlayer partner on content monetisation, and more

Spanish broadcaster Castilla y León Televisión (CyLTV) has set up wireless workflows for its news production for the first time, after investing in a number of new cameras from Sony.

CyLTV has added 27 Sony Professional PXW-Z280 camcorders to its existing operational equipment, as well as 8 HXC-FB80 studio camera chains, and 13 BRC-H900 remote control robotic cameras. It intends to use the PXW-Z280 cameras for OB news reports.

The broadcaster is also using 8 Sony Professional HXC-FB80 studio camera chains to produce news and entertainment programmes at both of its production centres in Valladolid.

Grabyo, InPlayer provide digital content monetisation

Grabyo and InPlayer have joined forces to provides sports properties with a new way to monetise content.

The joint solution will enable sports leagues, clubs and federations to generate a direct-to-consumer revenue stream using premium digital content.

Users can employ Grabyo for live broadcasts and/or VOD content that can be produced and distributed to any major online video player (OVP) within an app or online. It is then protected by a white-labelled solution by InPlayer.

Coralbay.tv integrates Zixi for software-based live playout

Coralbay.tv has integrated Zixi’s SDVP into its coralPLAY software playout offering.

According to the two companies, the integration will enable broadcasters to shift towards software-based infrastructure while maintaining the functionality and reliability of older hardware-based playout solutions.

It will also allow broadcaster’s video pipelines to improve the reliability of signal distribution between the pipeline and either AWS MediaConnect or Zixi Receivers for hosting in other Clouds. Using Zixi’s unique technology, coralPlay users can realise secure, ultra-low latency and error-free live content delivery over IP with up to 45 per cent packet loss recovery, said the two companies.
