CNBC Arabiya chooses Quicklink for new contribution network

CNBC Arabiya has chosen Quicklink Video Distribution Services as the preferred supplier in order to receive high quality, low latency streams for the 24-hour Arabic language financial and business information television channel.

CNBC Arabiya has chosen Quicklink Video Distribution Services as the preferred supplier in order to receive high quality, low latency streams for the 24-hour Arabic language financial and business information television channel. CNBC Arabiya covers regional and international affairs from an Arab economic perspective. CNBC Arabiya’s daily programme schedule features the region’s business news summary, including regional stock market summary, regional corporate news, news about women in business, news about green businesses, and personal finance. It also includes developments from Europe and America, concentrating on how they affect the Middle East. CNBC Arabiya now uses the Quicklink Playout Server based in Dubai in order to receive live two-way interviews and financial reports from business and financial institutions. The finance institutions use a camera and the Quicklink 3008 E encoder (pictured) in order to transmit to CNBC in Dubai, live up-to-the minute broadcast quality video streams with IFB low latency talkback. Doha Bank is one of the first contributors to purchase Quicklink encoders as part of this new contribution network within CNBC Arabiya. www.quicklink.tv
