The Chyron BlueNet end-to-end graphics workflow is to be rolled out across all 12 regional news stations operated by Norwegian public broadcaster NRK as they are upgraded to HD. It is anticipated that the new workflow will be operational in all 12 regions by the end of May.

Chyron’s partner in Norway, Video 4, is working closely with NRK’s technology division to ensure a fast roll-out, with full support from Chyron’s Professional Services division.

The BlueNet workflow now in the process of implementation includes Chyron’s LEX3.1 HD playout devices, CAMIO asset management, and Lyric PRO 8 authoring software — all integrated in a seamless workflow to support the flexible and fast delivery of high-end broadcast graphics to air.

Paul Glasgow, vice-president of sales, EMEA, at Chyron, commented: “NRK has a long history of innovation in the broadcast and media industry, and the company continues to push the envelope with its adoption of a BlueNet workflow. The installation across NRK news-producing regions creates an unusually sophisticated and efficient graphics workflow, and when completed it will represent one of the most significant graphics operations in the region.”
