Belden aims to highlight its most comprehensive range ever of broadcast solutions at BVE. Following the acquisition of Miranda Technologies, the company has expanded its broadcast offering to include a range of hardware and software solutions for TV broadcast, cable, satellite and IPTV. The two brands will be combined in a single booth at the show.

As well as showcasing Belden’s latest solutions for broadcast applications, Werner Eich, vertical marketing manager broadcast, audio and video for Belden in EMEA, will deliver a daily 25-minute presentation on the challenges of 4K and its implications on coaxial cabling. “Manufacturers of consumer products are heavily promoting 4K and broadcasters really need to take it seriously. As this is a new technology, it will take some time before we will see what the market will do. However, it is best to be prepared,” commented Eich.

Belden will use BVE to highlight a number of number of key innovations. The company has extended its range of coaxial digital video cables with the new Belden Duobond Plus DNH series. The new line of Belden Brilliance Broadcast HD BNC Connectors exceeds SMPTE return loss standards, providing true 75ohm performance. Finally, Belden CatSnake Tactical Heavy Duty Category 6A shielded data cables are designed for use in high traffic areas in a broadcast studio or for use outdoors, in broadcast truck applications, and for portable, professional audio/video use.
