Launching at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show this week are Barco’s new structures for tiled LCD video walls. The Barco-designed OBLX series are freestanding structures, meaning they do not need wall support for stability. The OBLX-4610 (pictured) and OBLX-5510 freestanding structures hold 46-inch or 55-inch LCD displays, respectively, in a 2×2 landscape setup or a 3×1 portrait setup. The leg of the OBLX series structures is designed to house a 19-inch rack-mountable controller. Another option is to install a ClickShare Base Unit (for Barco’s meeting and collaboration system) or a DISplayer (Barco dzine’s digital signage media player) inside the structure. The leg can also house a LAN switch, a common on/off switch (controlling all the displays), and a multi-socket.
