Another new TV and film studio to open in London

Space includes offices and workshops on site, and will house the largest single studio space (27,000 square feet) that Troubadour has created in London to date

London is to be the home of yet another TV and film studio following the announcement by Troubadour Theatres that it is expanding its studio space footprint in the city.

The new Troubadour Brent Cross Studios facility is expected to open in early 2022.

According to reports, the company has signed a three-year lease on a 150,000 sq ft space in Brent Cross.

The facility is aiming to attract “world class TV productions and film houses” to the area, along with opening a local Skills Academy, creating between 150 and 450 employment opportunities in a bid to find the best under-represented talent.

The Skills Academy will be shared across Troubadour’s Meridian Water Studios site in Enfield, North London.

The new filming space includes offices and workshops on site, and will house the largest single studio space (27,000 square feet) that Troubadour has created in London to date.

Oliver Royds and Tristan Baker CEOs and founders at Troubadour Theatres said: “We are enormously excited about coming to Brent Cross Town and working together with the Barnet Council and Argent Related. We strongly believe that Troubadour Brent Cross Studios will quickly become an integral part of the community in the heart of an area going through huge regeneration. Our Skills Academy will create an immediate positive and demonstrable local impact that we hope will become a catalyst for employment within the Borough.”
