Singapore-based digital media services company Encompass Digital Media have collaborated with AmberFin to enable the provision and creation of high resolution mezzanine files to the delivery of content to mobile platforms.
Encompass Digital Media will be the first company globally to integrate AmberFin’s Transcode Farm Controller capabilities within its file-based workflows. The Transcode Farm Controller and extended UQC system will enable staff at Encompass to process and review more files and material in less time. AmberFin UQC is an approach to quality control that combines multiple tools for baseband checks during tape ingest, file-based QC after ingest, and overall operator-controlled QC, including annotation and mark-up.
“Our partnership with Encompass Digital Media is a great example of our commitment to develop closer working relationships with our partners worldwide,” commented Jeremy Deaner, CEO at AmberFin. “It is a strong strategic fit as it will allow Encompass to provide its clients with an array of services that will meet the demands of today’s evolving media environment. By deploying custom automated workflows based on AmberFin iCR, Encompass can now provide everything from the creation of high resolution mezzanine files to the delivery of content to mobile platforms.”
“Digital media services across multiple platforms – including mobile – will comprise an important sector for the Singapore economy as the country gears itself to become a global media city,” added Deepakjit Singh, managing director, Encompass Digital Media. “While innovation will remain a key driver in this development, what will sustain this momentum is the hub’s ability to generate economic value through mobile content. As such, our partnership with AmberFin cannot come at a better time as discerning customers are looking towards monetising content across different platforms and in much larger volume.”
