AIMS welcomes five new members

Artel Video Systems, BFE Studio, Leader Electronics, Meinberg and Pebble Beach the latest to become associate members

The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) has welcomed Artel Video Systems, BFE Studio und Medien Systeme, Leader Electronics, Meinberg and Pebble Beach Systems to its organisation as associate members.

Formed in January, AIMS is promoting the adoption, standardisation, development and refinement of open protocols for media over IP, with an initial emphasis on VSF TR-03 and TR-04, SMPTE 2022-6 and AES67.

“We are very pleased to welcome our new members to AIMS. More and more companies around the world are realising the benefits of collaborating on a single set of standards-based IP protocols,” said Michael Cronk (pictured), AIMS board chair.

“The continual growth of AIMS membership increases momentum in the drive towards ubiquity and the implementation of practical solutions that enable the migration to all IP workflows.”

Artel Video Systems provides broadcast-quality media transport solutions for direct fibre, IP, and managed optical networks.

BFE Studio specialises in planning and realising studio systems, OB vans, and other media-technology systems.
