Abaltat has released Version 1.1 of its innovative Abaltat Muse video-driven soundtrack composer, a professional software application for video editors that creates original, royalty-free, broadcast-quality soundtracks in minutes.

“This latest version of Abaltat Muse features complementary and seamless integration with Apple, Avid, Adobe and Media 100 edit applications,” said Siun Ni Raghallaigh, managing director at Abaltat. “We’ve also built in full MIDI export functionality to import directly into applications such as Digidesign Pro Tools and Apple’s Logic.”

Abaltat Muse is easy to use. Simply drop a QuickTime file of your edited picture sequence into the application and the software will compose a soundtrack based on an analysis of your pictures along with your selected parameters, such as tempo and style. Abaltat Band is what defines the style of music, and included free in Version 1.1 of Abaltat Muse is a rich array of Abaltat’s plug-in virtual Bands, seven in total, giving the user access to a diverse range of musical genres, from classical to dub reggae.

Abaltat Muse composes the music and plays it out using a sample player and virtual instruments. The software incorporates technology from experts in the audio industry, namely Native Instruments and Garritan Libraries. As a result, the audio and instrument quality is extremely high. The audio can be exported as AIFF or WAV files. The composition can be exported as a MIDI file, should the editor require a composer to do additional work on his or her composition.
