Tedial unleashes aSTORM

Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, has announced major updates to its Evolution enterprise MAM solution at IBC2018. The company will showcase its new cutting edge live sport solution SMARTLIVE and its HYPER IMF end-to-end IMF platform. It will also bring Evolution aSTORM, its future-proof, hybrid content management solution to IBC.

SMARTLIVE – Leveraging AI for advanced storytelling and targeted delivery

IBC will mark the first official debut of Tedial’s SMARTLIVE at a European Trade Show. SMARTLIVE, a comprehensive live event solution for remote logging, PAM support and automated story-telling, leverages AI tools and provides 100 per cent compatibility with existing PAM systems like EVS and SAM. Using a unique metadata engine, SMARTLIVE automates media logging, clip creation and distribution, including social media pitches. Marrying AI to MAM, SMARTLIVE is the only solution capable of automating the event metadata ingest process and creating a production environment for teams, managing multi-camera and multi-venue feeds, providing multiple, instantaneous live searches to bring historical archives to live events, and automatically generating highlights and delivering them to digital platforms and social networks.

HYPER IMF MAM – New features save time and money

Tedial’s HYPER IMF, an end-to-end MAM solution that supports IMF formats for ingest, archive and delivery, will be demonstrated with a host of new features that significantly improve the content delivery and management to non-linear platforms by providing assembly-on-the-fly. HYPER IMF now includes automatic leader insertion, which incorporates all the elements required for each platform (e.g. bars/clock etc.). HYPER IMF also nowincludes automatic localization based on delivery profile, enabling all credits and text insertions for every language required to be added automatically. Prior to HYPER IMF, broadcasters had to manually enter this data or create complex code for every destination; a costly and time-consuming process.

Tedial’s award-winning media factory solution, Version Factory, now supports an impressive 60 additional new platforms that minimizes the challenge faced when delivering multiple content to non-linear platforms; each with a different flavor and format. Using Version Factory and HYPER IMF, Tedial can easily support existing and new platforms, delivering content in the correct format with audio tracks and subtitles in the correct language, as well as any additional components required (artwork/trailers etc.).

HYPER IMF is a highly flexible and open system with full integration to new third-party systems for delivery. As an active member of SMPTE, Tedial has access to a huge, diverse and influential network that enables the company to support new specifications and formats before they reach the end-customer.

There’s an Evolution aSTORM coming to IBC!
High-resolution media files are increasing all the time, driving the critical need for efficient storage management. At IBC 2018, Tedial will showcase Evolution aSTORM, the company’s future-proof, cost-effective content management solution. Evolution aSTORM changes the storage paradigm from the traditional HSM approach (multi-tier vertical) to a true object based storage environment (multi-site, horizontal). aSTORM transparently manages various storage tiers across departments and locations. Highly scalable and reliable, it allows users to quickly adapt their investments when technology changes or when related storage costs decrease. A multi-tier agnostic solution, aSTORM transparently and seamlessly manages online, cloud, and deep archive storage with complex algorithms based on customer-tailored business rules. It can virtualize file locations to enable multi-site operations, cloud workflows and hybrid scenarios, offering an “augmented perception” of their physical location.

“We are very excited to unveil these new Evolution MAM features at IBC 2018,” says Esther Mesas, CSO/CMO Tedial. “Broadcasters and media companies want access to the latest technology that enables them to quickly and easily reach audiences across multiple platforms whether that’s via traditional TV, VOD, social media, etc. We answer these requirements by providing cutting-edge solutions that create new revenue opportunities, simplify workflows, reduce labour costs and increase fan engagement.”
