Bon’s new 5.5” Full HD field monitor, distributed by Cache Media, features revolutionary design qualities as well as numerous advantages over its two main rivals in this market.
Unlike other small HD screens, the Bon FM-055F features a selectable Focus Assist Area, Auto Flip and an H/V Level Meter as well as being lighter, slimmer and generating less heat. The FM-055F has four mount holes on the top, bottom, left and right sides giving it multiple attachment options with all buttons and controls conveniently located on the top of the monitor, while SDI and HDMI connectors are on the bottom. It also has a 5.5” 1920×1080 LED backlit LCD panel.
The lightweight FM-055F from Bon Electronics is suitable for DSLR and ENG camera users, providing HDMI to SDI Conversion, SDI to HDMI Conversion, DSLR Scale, Focus Peaking, Selectable Loop-Through or Conversion Out Markers, De-embedded 8-16 channel Audio Level Meter, Horizontal/Vertical Screen Flipping, and Range Error Check.
Unlike other small monitors the FM-055F boasts an Anamorphic mode for variable aspect ratios, is compatible with Canon’s Mark III/60D and Nikon’s D800 cameras, has H/V Level Meters, DV Battery Check, Auto Colour Temperature Adjustment and HDMI UV Swap. The operating temperature range of the FM-055F is also fully 10 degrees wider than its rivals, allowing its use down to -10°C.
