Medialooks presents premium version of Direct Take

Medialooks has unveiled a premium version of its multi-channel video capture application, Direct Take.

With the recent updates Medialooks has clearly positioned Direct Take for the professional multi-channel ingest scenario, providing videographers with a way to synchronously capture multiple video channels in live production environments.

The new Direct Take features single-click start of capture, configurable multi-channel capture templates, GPU-powered H.264 encoding and simultaneous recording of several versions of the same stream. The improved multiview gives control of each capture channel directly within the multiviewer. Flexible audio mapping enables users to choose an audio source individually for each of the recording channels. More features – such as RS-422 support or writing files with two or more audio programmes – are on the roadmap for future versions.

“We have received a lot of feedback upon launching this product,” said Andrey Okunev, Medialooks CEO. “Users enjoyed the multi-channel flexibility and the choice of supported formats. Direct Take, as we’ve been told by our first users, is a great solution for multi-channel capture. But its built-in playback features, such as frame-by-frame playback and playback while recording, make it awesome for quality monitoring as well.”
