“Voicebox is a voiceover company with a difference.” That’s the opinion of the company’s multimedia manager, Dorian Williams. The Swansea-based company was born out of parent company the Wolfestone Group, a major player in the translation and localisation industry that offers voiceovers along with its core services.
“While we share the values of Wolfestone Group, we are a unique bunch of creative people who are experts in communication and driven by quality,” emphasises Williams. “We run as a separate business unit and we manage a team of specialist sound engineers and project managers.”
He says that Voicebox handles all aspects of translations, subtitles and voiceovers. Alongside a team of experienced voiceover artists from the UK, Williams works with similar groups in many other parts the world.
“We send through a script to a commentator we know in another country along with any directions that might be appropriate – speed of read, special emphasis and so on – and a proxy recording is sent to the client for approval. Once approved, we can provide a full recording for the production company.”
He concludes, “We have all the workflows and experience you’d expect from a top voiceover agency, driven by a team experienced in the broadcast, corporate communications and creative industries.”
