Comrex will be showcasing its LiveShot and ACCESS products at this year’s NAB.
Comrex LiveShot delivers live, bidirectional, HD video and audio over a range of IP networks, enabling broadcasters to accomplish remote broadcasts that would be impossible with wired configurations. Using the effectiveness of ACCESS audio IP codecs, LiveShot smoothes out inconsistencies in the public internet to allow low-latency broadcast-quality live video streaming from anywhere, especially over challenging IP networks. With a full-duplex cue channel and a portable, lightweight design, LiveShot integrates with existing camera equipment, making it possible to replace cable and satellite rigs with less than three pounds of gear.
The company will also be demonstrating ACCESS (pictured), which has set the standard for reliable, portable remote broadcasting. With an easy-to-use handheld interface, ACCESS broadcasts studio-quality live audio in real-time over a variety of IP, wireless, and wired networks (3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, BGAN, Ethernet, POTS/PSTN). Using Comrex’s proprietary BRIC technology, ACCESS easily navigates unstable or challenging data networks to ensure high quality, low latency, stable audio transmission. With the addition of ACCESS 4.0, ACCESS can now use multiple IP streams at once during a broadcast, ensuring even more stable connections.
