Spain’s TVE selects AEQ monitors for new control rooms

A monitoring bridge and several desktop computers have been installed, with remote software control

Spanish broadcaster TVE has selected Kroma monitors from AEQ as it upgrades two of its control rooms for both SD and HD broadcasts.

The control rooms are used across 10 broadcast channels.

A monitoring bridge and several desktop computers have been installed, with remote software control, including:

  • 59 QS7024 HD 24” FHD Quadsplit monitor units, capable of representing 4 simultaneous signals each
  • 10 LM7024 HD/3G monitor units
  • 2 LM8018 HD/3G monitor units
  • 8 LM8009 HD/3G monitor units
  • 5 LM7504A11 HD monitors

All of the monitors are being employed for both vectorscope and waveform measurement, the logo and name of the broadcast chain, time code of the programme that is being broadcast, and VU metering of the audio signal.

According to AEQ, the alarm system included in the software enables users quickly see any issues in both the audio and visual feeds.
