SES selects coralbay.TV to automate playout in the cloud

Company also intends to use coralPLAY solution to provide graphics insertion including dynamic now/next/later and lower thirds

SES will employ coralPLAY from coralbay.TV to automate the playout of numerous channels hosted in the cloud.

The company also intends to use the solution to provide graphics insertion including dynamic now/next/later and lower thirds driven from information contained in the playlists, tickers, clocks, and a two-stage DVE. The system also supports SCTE-35 triggering and DVB subtitling.

coralPlay has been designed using microservices and is deployed using Docker containers and Kubernetes. According to coralplay.TV, it has been optimised to “take advantage of the inherent elasticity, redundancy and flexibility that the cloud offers. In addition, it can be hosted in any public cloud or on a virtual machine or on bare metal servers.”

Peter Hajittofi, CEO of coralbay.tv said, “SES has been enabling delivery of content for broadcasters around the globe for years, and as they grow their cloud solution offering, we are delighted to be supporting them with our coralPlay playout technology. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with SES and driving further innovations in the cloud.”
