Proximus Pickx Accenture

The partnership aims to provide Pickx with new feature development, customer service support and enhanced sustainability

Accenture has announced a new collaboration with Belgium’s Proximus.

The telco and media company has selected Accenture’s Accenture Video Solution (AVS) a cloud-agnostic platform aimed at managing its digital video content and enhancing user experiences. Proximus’ staff are being implemented and trained on AVS, which enables the company to concentrate on delivering features and innovation to users of its on-demand and streaming service Pickx,  while reducing its technical debt.

AVS aims to empower Proximus employees to make informed customer relationship management, advertising, promotion and distribution management decisions, said the company.

The first 100,000 Pickx customers were migrated by May, retaining their existing hardware and content with no loss of functionality, said Accenture.

New features include seamless switching between devices and automatic selection of HD or SD depending on available bandwidth.

Antonietta Mastroianni, chief digital and information officer with Proximus Group, said, “The world continues to change when it comes to how people consume content. At Proximus, we constantly strive to provide the best services to our customers, and we have the market knowledge and the technological capacity to do so. Our collaboration with Accenture enables us to provide first-rate digital TV services that answer our customers’ needs.”
